Our Youth Ministry is called Project 2.9

It comes from 1 Peter 2:9 which tells us that we are a generation called out of darkness into His marvelous light. We want our students in grades 7-12 to know this awesome truth!

Here is what you can expect at Project 2.9:

Project 2.9 Wednesday Nights @ 7PM: P2.9 Wednesdays are our main event. We play some active and crazy games, sing, hear from God's Word and have some fun trivia, challenges and all kinds of other craziness.

Sunday School @ 9:30AM: School isn't really the right word here. P2.9 Sunday School is a time to talk about the week and have a group discussion about a specific spiritual concept or Bible passage. This is a great time to ask questions you thought of during P2.9 Wednesdays or during your personal quiet time during the week.

Each year we also have several game nights, a Winter Camp, a Summer Camp, a Lock-In, and much more craziness! 

Project 2.9 is a part of the total ministry of Ward Road Baptist and strives to be involved in church-wide ministry and events. P2.9'ers are strongly encouraged to get involved on a church-wide level. Check out wardroadbaptist.org/connected for info on Project 2.9 events as well as church-wide events.

Kyle Lee, Youth Pastor

Loves it: Prank videos, Power tools, Gummy candy, Skydiving (I would probably like it if I ever tried it...)

Hates it: Jeans that are just barely too short, Bumper stickers with print so small you can't read it from another car

Amy Lee

Loves it: Ice cream, Tubing, Christmas, Pretty flowers, Dr. Seuss

Hates it: Flying, Little creatures that move fast, Alfredo, Grape candy, Quesadillas

Steve Hooper

Loves it: Book of Job, Fall (the season, not the action), Rain, Cereal, Shoes

Hates it: Cotton balls, TV commercials, Easy Cheese, McDonalds, When stairs are not divisible by 7, 4 or 3

Brad O'Dell

Loves it: Snowboarding, Napping, Fly fishing, Volleyball, Coffee cake

Hates it: Vegetables (except spinach), Wasps, Sunburns, Doing Laundry, Being hot when I sleep
